In any high school classroom, how can we use iPads to foster
differentiated instruction, learn collaboratively, check for understanding, and
create meaningful projects? During this session Wes Molyneaux will share his
experiences about using iPads in a 1:1 environment in his Anatomy and
Physiology class during the 2011-2012 School year. Wes will explain how he took his class
digital, first using GoodReader and then with Remarks as his hub for note
taking and student homework. In addition
to turning his curriculum digital Wes uses the power of QR Codes in conjunction
with Google forms to create self-graded bell ringers/quizzes/exit tickets in
his classroom. Wes will also show some
examples of multimedia lab reports and video projects created by his students
using apps such as Animation HD, Explain Everything, iMovie, Pages, Skitch,
Keynote and the iPad’s camera. Lastly
Wes will also discuss how he uses Drop Box and WebDAV for distributing and
collecting student work.
